DESCRIPTION:Each year we take an evening to celebrate and thank our volunteers for the hard work they’ve put into the Chapter and we want to invite all of our Members to join us this year. We’ll have a DJ\, food and beverages. Please join us for a fun night and help us thank the Members who’ve worked so hard this year to help make the Golden Gate Chapter amazing.  This is also a great opportunity to find out how to become a volunteer and meet other members. \nThe Golden Gate Chapter requires the dedication of Members just like you! This movable celebration of everything BMW occurs at exciting locations throughout the country and is the ultimate motorsport family reunion. This year we are fortunate enough to have our family reunion presented by Michelin once again!\n  \n2015’s Oktoberfest\, hosted by the New Jersey Chapter\, was a week filled with old school charm and exciting driving events. But now it’s time to prepare for the next chapter of the Oktoberfest story¬–the 47th Annual BMW CCA Oktoberfest Presented by Michelin in Monterey\, California!\n  \nO’Fest 2016 will be part of a once-in-a-lifetime celebration spanning almost two weeks in honor of BMW’s 100th anniversary. The event will be held in conjunction with two other favorite club events—Legends of the Autobahn and the Festorics corral—so you do not want to miss this historic event. The host hotel for O’fest will be the Hyatt Monterey and the track is\, of course\, the thrilling Laguna Seca Raceway. Yes\, finally you\, too\, will drive the Corkscrew!\n  \nMonterey is known for incredible scenery\, the Monterey Bay Aquarium\, Fisherman’s Wharf\, and the nearby vineyards in Carmel Valley making this location the perfect setting for the centennial celebration and O’Fest!\n  \nOktoberfest will run from Tuesday\, August 23 through Sunday\, August 28\, 2016\, and will feature many of the staples that longtime attendees have become familiar with at previous gatherings\, including the Bridgestone autocross\, Pirelli Concours\, rallies\, and of course\, high-performance driving events. This year’s edition will also feature some very unique social events—a beach party along the Monterey Bay\, a strolling dinner at Holman Ranch with stunning mountain views\, and the BMW NA Awards Banquet at the Hyatt with some very special guests to end the week.\n  \nThis will be a bucket-list week of excitement and fun for any BMW enthusiast. SUMMARY:GGC Summer Picnic and Driving Tour
DESCRIPTION:Our annual summer picnic and driving tour is one of our biggest events of the year!\n \nWe’ll start the day with an optional driving tour through some fantastic mountain roads in the Marin headlands ending at McNears Beach in San Rafael.  We will have several picnic areas reserved and there is a public pool so bring your suits and sunscreen! \nWe will have a BBQ lunch catered on site with a fantastic menu that includes\, appetizers\, BBQ baby back ribs\, rotisserie chicken\, veggie plates\, roasted potatoes\, caesar salad\, fruit\, bread\, ice cream\, cookies\, water and soda. \nThe driving tour route is being planned and will be shared a week before the event with registered attendees only so be sure the check the box for the tour during registration.  The drive will last approximately 2.5 hours\, arriving at the park by 12:30p.  The tour is limited to 30 cars so register early to guarantee your spot! \nREGISTER TODAY! \n* Pets are prohibited\, $10/car parking fee on site\, cash only. \n
